LifeVac Choking Rescue Device Sales and Training
East Coast Safety Consulting is an authorized LifeVac reseller and trainer. LifeVac is an FDA-authorized, second-line suction device designed for use during a choking emergency when established choking-response procedures are unsuccessful.
LifeVac devices are available for individuals, families, workplaces, schools, healthcare settings, restaurants, community organizations, and other groups through our South Plainfield location. Standalone purchases and private staff training are also available.
Students registering for select eligible CPR or First Aid classes may add a LifeVac device where offered. Any LifeVac-specific demonstration or instruction is provided separately, after the regularly scheduled certification course has concluded.
BLS Classes for New Jersey Healthcare Professionals
Initial BLS is appropriate for first-time participants, providers whose previous certification has expired, and students who need a complete review of current Basic Life Support concepts and skills.

Meet East Coast Safety Consulting’s Founder
Peter Magnani has more than 25 years of experience in CPR, First Aid, emergency-response, and first responder education and has trained more than 10,000 healthcare professionals, employees, students, and community members.
His emergency-services career began as a volunteer EMT with the South Plainfield Rescue Squad, where he remains a life member. He later worked as a paid EMT with Edison EMS and with the National Park Service at the Statue of Liberty.
Pete retired as a South Plainfield police lieutenant after 28 years of law-enforcement service. He is also a SAG-AFTRA member and provides police and EMS consulting for film and television productions.
Under his leadership, East Coast Safety Consulting has grown from a local CPR training business into an American Heart Association Authorized Training Site and American Red Cross Primary Licensed Training Provider serving students, employers, and instructors across multiple states.

Meet Instructor Susan Kolesar
Susan first learned CPR as a high school student and has remained passionate about lifesaving education throughout her career.
During 30 years as a Health Education teacher at Westfield High School, she taught thousands of students about First Aid, CPR, health, safety, and emergency preparedness.
As a certified American Heart Association and American Red Cross instructor, Susan helps students understand how emergencies can be prevented and how to respond with greater confidence when immediate action is required.
