Frequently Asked Questions

All certification cards are emailed directly to you from the American Heart Association or Red Cross, usually within minutes of class ending. Search your email and check your spam folder for heart.org and contact us if you do not receive your card within one week. You are considered certified upon completion of the class. 

 Cancelations in under 24 hours or no-shows will lose their deposit or payment, it will not be transferable to a future class. Should you need to cancel with advanced notice (24+ hours), you will be allowed to reschedule for a future class at no extra charge. If you need to reschedule with less than 24 hours notice, a $25 fee will be imposed. Refunds will only be issued if we are forced to cancel a class. For weather related issues, we will likely send a text to all students with options to reschedule. 

*Students who show up and appear to be under the influence will be asked to leave and a refund will not be given. 

Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can complete registration and start on time. Once CPR instruction begins, doors will close and late students are not permitted to enter. If you arrive late, you will be given one opportunity reschedule. 

Certain classes can be taken online, however, the skills session must be observed in person on AHA approved manikins with feedback devices and other required equipment. Please see our course descriptions for blended learning options. 

It is important to double check all spelling during registration at class. If you enter a typo, a $20 fee (AHA) or $42 fee (Red Cross) will be imposed for a new card to be reissued.

Yes. Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts both require CPR and First Aid training. You'll need to register for Heartsaver CPR + First Aid or Red Cross First Aid + CPR. We hold weekly classes at 9am. Private classes can be arranged if you have 6+ students. 

Our scheduled in-person classes are normally held in our local EMS training center, details will be provided in your booking confirmation. We occasionally post classes for our other instructors that are located throughout the country. Be sure to check class location prior to booking. We can also come to you and teach a small class in your family room or a large class at your doctors office and anything in between. There is an upcharge of $5 per student for off-site classes. 

We like to see a minimum of six students in order to hold a class. Let us know if you have a problem getting enough students. 

Bookings via the website accept all major credit cards. In-person payments can be cash, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Zelle and all major credit cards. We also accept business checks for company classes. Cards will not be issued until payment is received. 

Yes. Inquire about setting up an off-hours training so as to not interfere with the daily operations of your office. 

All of our American Heart Association and Red Cross certifications are good for two years. Please be sure to schedule a recertification class prior to expiring. For non-certification classes, we may offer a certificate of completion. It is recommended you attend that same class every two years to be sure you're still up to date.

Yes We are currently teaching the new courses which were released in December, 2025. Students will also be tested on manikins with the required feedback devices to ensure proper compression rate and depth.  

Yes! We can come teach Family & Friends CPR which does not come with a certification. Upon request, we can provide a Certificate of Completion to show they attended the class. This is sufficient for them to earn their badge. Shoot us a text to inquire about discounted pricing. 908-801-9168

We recommend Heartsaver or Red Cross CPR + AED + First Aid for all babysitters. We also have a separate Babysitters course that comes with a 2 year certification. Prospective clients will be happy to see your child has been well training and holds a current certification.  

We would suggest developing a Fast Team which we can assist with. A Fast Team will be comprised of a team of individuals on each shift that is trained to deal with a wide range of emergencies. We also recommend company-wide training in Bloodborne Pathogens and CPR.
